What causes
asleep. Even though the engine is dithering the
mixture, the sensor doesn't swing over center like
expected. Headers cool the exhaust gas a lot more
than stock manifolds w/ close-in O2s.
You could try wrapping the primary tubes or rigging
the sensor to run its internal heater full time. Some
way to get them hot quicker and keep them hot.
Another option would be to put a sensor bung in
one primary tube and use that single cylinder to
be the "pilot" for the rest. Though this might be a
"lumpy" at low RPM it might be the best way to go.
If you could keep the tip from blocking the flow in
that one primary, but still make it get good hot gas....
