Need Help Unlocking a Diablo Can tune... Hey guys,
Just purchased a 99 Camaro today as my new DD and it has a canned Diablo Sport tune. Not trying to bash by no means but the tune is WAY off (AF in the 9s). So when I got the car home I hooked up my EFI live and when i went to pull the tune out it says that it is "locked".
A message then flashes up to try the "Alt Keys" so I did and it still wouldn't unlock. I have no choice but to get the car retuned because it is running terrible in the lower RPMs. I care nothing about the tune that is in the car, I'm just trying to open it up just to see what timing and such are so I can get it straight.
What are my options?

well.. first off... diablo programmers do NOT lock the tune or pcm... so that's not the issue...
could be that the car had a custom tune done elsewhere by someone using hp tuners/efi live software and they locked the tune...
but no - diablo programmers/canned tunes do NOT lock the tune/pcm... especially with an air/fuel ratio in the 9's, heh... that's not a diablo tune...

Ok guys, thanks for the replies. It's early Sunday morning but unless I missed something did we discuss a fix?
Any suggestions on how to get it unlocked?
06MonteSS - Like I said, I'm not trying to bash at all, just what the previous owner stated. The tune could have been solid before all the work was done and just never updated. The car is H/C/I/E now....

np man, didn't say you were bashing, haha... just letting you know that diablo's canned tunes do not lock a tune or pcm at all... never have, never will...
so, if the pcm is indeed locked, then it has a custom tune on it and was tuned with something else, not a predator...
