Central Illinois Tuners? Suggestions!
Picked up a 2001 SS Camaro with a six speed. Motor is stock other ebay full lengths, 3 in y pipe with 3" cats and Procharger that was dealer installed and dynoed out at 415hp. That seems pretty weak for a supercharged car. I recently had the dual/dual SLP system taken off and replaced with a Dynomax Bullet 3" catback. It has since thrown a "lean on bank one" code twice. My suspusion is this exhaust is flowing much better than the last. I have considered bumping the boost on the car to what is considered safe on a stock block. What would one guestimate that power output to be. What would one expect to pay for a tuner to put a larger pulley and dyno tune it correctly. Also considered a 4:10 gear swap and keeping the motor very safe. Anyone that you would recommend near me. I am about 2 hours southwest of Chicago.
I expect to keep this a street car (but weekend toy only) with maybe a few runs at play days in Cordova raceway and such. Goals are to lower suspension and get the car to be an all around car that handles respectfully. I have had the weld in frame connectors done as this is a T-Top car. Intending to go to a lowering spring with an adjustable panhard bar. What else would you guys suggest?
