Man, I wish I would have found this post before I just ordered and recieved my ALDLcable.com "All in one" cable $100. Just today I came across that $15 and other $30 cable on Amazon. Does anybody know if there are any benifits of the ALDLcabledotcom calbe or are they just overcharging?

I plan to use this for reading DTC and trouble shooting. I wish I could find software that does more though. like control solenoids and etc to assist with trouble shooting.

Can anybody recommend their favorite diagnostic freeware or even cheapware?

Mine's been working so-so. I have to keep un-installing and re-installing the software, after a few days it's giving me some erroneous data, if it even connects at all. It seems a lot of companies have bought up and closed down a lot of the freeware software that was out there. I tried Palmers demo, that was a complete joke. A demo that you can't actually view any data in or see how ANYTHING actually works in it....Ya, I'm definitely going to buy that :rolleyes

FYI, I bought a bluetooth ELM327 adapter from Amazon for $20, and got Torque for $4.95 on my Android phone. So far, works GREAT.
