Default hp tuners

How hard is it to learn how to use, and effectively use hp tuners? Just put a set of lt's and ory on and instead of spending the money to have it tune why not do it myself since i have more plans for the car in the near future?

My recommendation would be to start with the small stuff ie speed/rev limiters, tq management etc and work towards the harder more involved stuff.

Also make sure to read through this http://www.hptuners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11178

Its basically something that I put together that I found would've been what helped or would've helped me when I was first starting out, not to mention things that I've found people struggle with.

Everyone is different, some can jump right in and get the hang like nothing while others take a couple of months for it to "click".
