I tuned a buddies car that had a ls6 intake/ported throttlebody and noticed how responsive his throttle was compared to mine, the tach would jump right up and back down, I have a 102/102 on mine and am having some issues getting the car to quickly rev and llower the rpm back down. I was thinking it was a RAF issue but im not sure, any idea's? Also im fighting a hanging idle issue, the car when rolling will stay at 2k until i get to around 3mph and it instantly drops to idle, im assuming the TC will need some work to fix that. Thanks

 

Hanging idles can be a lot of things. IAC, TC, 90% of the time it's a vacuum leak for me. Usually a map sensor that doesn't sit tight or old cracked pcv hoses, etc.

I've got a 102/102 and have incredible throttle response. However it is on a 408. I don't have enough experience to know how much cu in. will make a difference on response with such a large intake body.

 

Ed Hutchings actually had to slow my 107mm Nick Williams TB opening down to make the car more drivable. It wanted to jump off the dyno before he did.

I think you have other issues.

 

hanging idle is caused by too much air. either a vacuum leak or too much RAF are just a couple of things
