E85 tuning and opinions for dd...
Alrighty, since we have gotten a pretty good amount of e85 stations locally, I have been tossing around the idea of tuning the Camaro for a corn diet.
Up to this point I haven't really messed with much e85 stuff, it frankly hasn't been easily obtainable for very long.
I was hoping some E85 experts could chime in and give their 2 cents on potential power gains, how much economy loss, and basically if it is worth it on a bolt-on stock car?

I'm no expert but Here are my results.
My build is bolt on + cam so you may not get as much.
From my reading prior and during my conversion,I would call it a mod to plan for the future on a bolt on only car.
You can get it done now and reap the rewards of environmental piece of mind, higher octane and lower fuel costs but the big power gains won't come till you do more motor work.
Prob want bigger injectors (you'll grow into them), and the ability to switch tunes if you or your tuner don't know how to tune for flex fuel yourself.

I run E85 in my car, mods in sig. stock 26# injectors are maxxed out, but just enough to work as of yet. With the 4.10s and me flogging it constantly I get 14-15mpg, I get around 21 cruising.
Ive worked with guys making way over 1000whp and we have never tested fuel, never had any issues with it. I cant stress enough how much of an improvement it is to run korn, good increase in power, no smell, and not having to worry about high temps.
