Which ECU do I buy for 382 Stroker?
Which ECU do I buy for 382 Stroker? I have just received a 1998 LS1 short block that I plan to stroke out to 382 CU Inches to install in my 1994 Camaro (currently equipped w/ a 3.4 V6). I haven't purchased the transmission yet, although I am leaning towards a 6 speed. My question is, when purchasing the ECU and Harness, do I only look for 6 speed ECUs or can they be re-programmed for the other transmission?
Is there software I can purchase to do this with myself? If not, are there any reputable places in the Los angeles area that are recommended?
I used to have a 1986 IROC that had a 5.0 in it, that was replaced with a ZZZ Crate motor, using Accel DFI system. I then had that engine stroked out to a 383. I loved that car up unil it got stolen about 10 yrs ago. I got out of the scene and have recently returned to find certain things harder to do to my car
