First Time Tuner (HP) where do I start?
Have a 68 Camaro with 98 LS1, the car is currently running. I have purchased the following MODS. I have also purchased the HP Tuners standard kit and will try a DIY tune.
1. Will the car run on the current stock tune after the below mods?
2. Should I save the stock tune?
3. What should be my first step?
4. What are the limitations of the HP Standtard, do I need to up grade to the pro?
5. Do I need a wideband O2 kit for the tune?
LS6 243 Heads w/918 springs?
LS6 Intake
CAM Comp 223/230 571/573 112
SLP ported Oil pump w/ double roller
Trick Flow 7.4 Push Rods
LS7 Lifters
Comp Trunnion Kit
Any recommendations will be much appreciated!

1. May or may not run bump the idle speed up to start
2. Always keep a copy of the stock tune
3. First step read this http://ls1tuningguide.com/tuningmanu...ons%20rev3.pdf
4. You don't have to use the pro but you will have to wire the wideband in through the EGR do a search you'll find it
5. Yes you need a wideband to tune

I have been somewhat interested in those Greg Banish dvds, but they seem somewhat pricey. I think if they lowered the price down to like $100 for the pair more people might snap them up.
As for where to start, the above link is good, but reading all the various descriptions in hptuner is also extremely helpful if you are familiar with tuning at all. If not, grab a couple books, read the stickys and do lots of reading before you ever touch a key.
