sputtering in all gears in idle help hi i have a 2001 camaro z28 automatic with 96XXX on it. i can do a cold start and warm start easy no problems. But in all gears park reverse neutral drive 1st gear whether the engine is cold or warm the car seems to sputter idle kinda and the rpms drop slightly when it dose but just when i sputter idles at that particular point. It dose this every time i am in the car. there is no real rhythm to it that i can tell and there are no trouble codes that come up. like it idles good just like it is suppose to for a couple of seconds and the starts to sputter idle. When i start to drive away it acts normal until i stop at a red light or are creeping in traffic and it starts to do it again. if i rev the car up it goes away until the rpms come back down to idle. i let my friend drive it a couple of weeks while i was a a trip and he said that he put 87 octain in it. so when i got the car back i went straight to the gas station and filled up on 93 and ran sea foam in the gas. and it kept doing it. then i ran 2 tanks of 93 each with a bottle of Lucas it it cause i thought that i might have gunk build up in my engine from the 87 gas. it has been several weeks now still using 93 like it calls for and it still dose it. I'm so confused i don't know what to do? please help any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
