Default Diablo Trinity or Frost Tune, or HP Tuners Tune?

Ok there is a local guy selling a diablo trinity for $350 but after some talking he can do $250, and there is frost which is $150 plus shipping or a local friend from a club has hp tuners,

My question is, what would be my best bet to tune my car? the best for the money what would it be? thanks

Wow, a Trinity for $250 is a heck of a deal.
Ideally you'd benefit from some custom tuning with the mods you have, maybe do the Trinity and a custom tune?

yes... if the seller did not restore the original backup stock tune to their vehicle, then it will still be locked to their vehicle, and you'll need to pay to have it unlocked/reset....

you have to make sure the seller has restored the original backup stock tune to their vehicle...

I managed to pick up a hp tuner pro for 400$ without credits. You can use hp tuners pro no matter what mod you do... You can tune everything 100% your self. It's not hard to learn but just takes time

100% sure? you can't, until you get it, heh...

you can ask them if they did... and also ask for screenshots from Options - Show Information and Show Last Tune Written... it will show in there if it's still locked or not and if he restored the original backup...

of course, that doesn't mean he can't do those, and then after that go and install a tune to his vehicle again, heh...

If you pay $250 for a locked trinity, then $179 to unlock it, you still came out waaay ahead.

You'd have to buy a license for your buddys HPtuners to tune your car.

Then you'd have to visit your buddy anytime you wanted to flash your vehicle...

Yes, Frost uses HPTuners. If your buddy has HPTuners, then Frost can tune your car via email without you even having to send in your PCM. If your friend doesn't have the unlimited year license to cover your year car, then figure $98 for the HPTuners license, plus whatever Frost charges to email tune your car. Keep in mind that once you buy the 2 credits to license your VIN, you can tune your car indefinitely without ever paying again.

Frost helped me dial in a buddy's 500+ rwhp Z06 via email using some datalogging and re-flashing that some "pro" traveling dyno tuner hacked up to death. He also helped me figure out (after I got my own HPTuners setup) what a local dyno-tuner butchered up on my own car a few years ago...

Search around and you'd be hard pressed to find anything negative said about Frost. Like said above, he's not happy until you are, and ironically he's cheaper than any handheld tuning device out there...

HP Tuners is a good way to go if you want to go to the trouble to learn how to tune and control a lot of variables. If you don't want to be a tuner, the Diablo can provide more pre-made tunes, as long as you are okay with pre-made tunes!

Frost is the man. He has tuned all of my cars. He will get back to you. Just give him some time. He is fairly busy most of the time.
