Pump Gas and Race Gas Tune Change
Ok I am putting my car on race gas put need to be able to change it to my pump gas tune just on case.
What is the best hand held that can hold two tunes so I can change them without having to haul my computer around?
Also is there another way to do this?
Thanks

The BEST "hand-held" is the EFILive FlashScan V2;
it can hold multiple tunes on an SD memory card (an LS1 tune is just short of 512KB; the smallest SD card holds 512MB, i.e. it can hold 1000x tunes);
with no laptop in vehicle, it allows you to:
- write/read a tune to/from your PCM;
- log pids from your PCM (it saves logs on the SD card);
- log your wideband (it even allows serial comms if your wideband supports it);
- scan OBD-2 diagnostics (modes 5 and 6; it even translates DTC's to English).
FlashScan V2 is a full tuning package, it comes with software tools for viewing your logs and editing your tunes.
It also allows you to connect using your laptop so you can run the scantool in real time or flash the PCM from the tunetool (i.e. V2 can be used as a hand-held or as a pass-thru); it also interfaces with the RoadRunner emulator PCM (for editing the PCM in real time while engine is running), if you want to go that way.

You would use the EFILive FlashScan V2 as follows:
first time:
- read PCM and save tune on V2;
- take V2 to PC and upload tune file;
thereafter:
- use tunetool to edit tune file at PC;
- download newly edited tune file to V2;
- take V2 to vehicle and flash the tune into PCM;
- take logs while driving vehicle;
- when done driving, take V2 to PC and upload logs;
- use scantool/tunetool to analyze logs and edit tune files at PC;
- repeat.
You can edit and store multiple tune files on the V2.
