I have an Innovate MTX-L Wideband, Reading the Instructions it says to not use The same ground as your radio.
My plan is to make a plexiglass/sheet metal/Cut up peice of plastic and mount it were the radio was. I will not have a radio. The trim peice will go back on, and it will be used to hold my AFR wideband gauge.
I want to buy a Radio harness and hook my Wideband Gauge into it for all the electric, Is it ok to do this? I could see it being an issue if you still have a radio, you would get a "noisey ground". But since im not running a radio I should be ok right? This way if i want a radio down the road, and im done tuning I can just unplug one and plug the other in, and if i need to tune i can easily swap the gauge mount and power/harness back in.
Just checking to make sure this is ok to do. Just something to make life easy. All the wires are right there!
