All Tuners and techs, look in here. Is this problem tune related? So I put a new LQ4 in my 00 WS6. Has a Professional Products 96mm intake and 101mm TB. My tuner has been trying to get this idle issue fixed. It's hanging around 1500-1800 RPM's. Sometimes it will idle down and sometimes it want. So I picked it up today and hooked my scan tool to it and watched the IAC steps when it was idling fine. The counts were at 45. TPS was at .49. Throttle angle % was at 1. Reved it up a couple of times and bam hung at 1700. Only difference is that the throttle angle is now at 13% but the freakin TPS voltage is back at .49 volts. IAC counts have jumped to 160. WTF? TPS voltage at .49 and throttle angle at 13%. Turn the car off and let it set a minute and start it back up and it will do just fine. You may rev it a couple of times with no problems. It is very erratic when it may or may not do it. And when it does hang you can unplug the TPS and it will idle right down and the % table will go to 0. Just don't understand how it can show a 13% throttle angle and only .49 volts? I tried pulling back on the throttle cam to see if it may be hung, but it is shut. I sweep tested this TPS and checked fine. Do you guys think it is something in the tune or what?
0.49V I believe is below the TPS low fault threshold.
So it might just say however you say "WTF???" in
binary.
Now 49 IAC counts is kinda low, and the PP manifolds
do want you to replace those valley cover bolds with
a low-profile screw to prevent the piece from hitting
and making vacuum leaks.
But I think you want to see 0.6V (>0.50V) on the TPS
at rest.

Being at .49 does not concern as much as the throttle angle at 13% when the volts show to be at rest. And with out touching anything; just cutting it off and restarting it does fine after start up.
