My tuner is tellin me that the ecu doesn't need to be changed to account for the ls1 injectors. He said the ecu can make up for the small diffrence in the injectors. Is this true?

Engine is a 2002 lm7 with 99 transam intake and injectors.

They should be changed, there's no reason for not doing it. The difference is small, but is an easy thing to fix, as easy as copying the values from a stock tune to yours.

Accurate injector data is the base for a correct fueling under all circumstances.

Can it go without it? Maybe. Should you when you have the tuning software sitting right there? No way.
