Default Botched tune? Please look

I think I received a crap tune from a speed shop. Here's my problem. I bought my car a few months ago with tons of mods and a supposed "dyno-tune". The car ran like crap but I stole it at what I paid for it.

I copied the "dyno-tune" from the car with HP Tuners and saved it. My HP Tuners experience is limited. I bought it when I had my 04 GTO and I can turn off torque management and little stuff like that but I had not started to delve into any actual tuning myself.

I took the car to a local speed-shop for a dyno tune anxious to release the cars true potential and to get her running better so it would be easier to drive around town. I dropped the car off for the day and picked it up after work. The car ran different but OK when I received it but after a few days began to run like total crap. Lets just say that his customer service sucks when I demanded to have it fixed. I will leave it at that.

I have no idea what I'm looking at yet and I'm hesitant to re-load the "tune", if any at all, that the car had when I got it. I know that he used HP Tuners to do the tune. I have some books coming on tuning but until I grasp the concept better I'm not touching it. The last thing I want to do is hot-rod around on a bad tune and cause further damage.

I will attach both the tune that was on the car when I bought it as well as the current one.

My mods:

PRC Stage 2.5 5.3L heads, FAST 90mm intake and TB, FAST 36lb/hr injectors, TSP "Custom" cam-(233/239, .600-.605, 113LSA), LS2 timing set, TSP pushrods, LS7 lifters, Harland Sharp 1.7 roller rockers, MSD wires, Long tube headers, 3" TSP stainless catless midpipe, Spec stage 3 clutch, SPEC aluminum flywheel.

Please advise. Are either of these safe to run, or do I have a nice paper weight at the moment?

Just curious who tuned your ride? I know a local guy down here that is really good, did a awesome job on my turbo TA but he uses EFI live, he charged me 400 because it was a custom 3 bar OS we spent about 3 hours data logging and getting her street manners right, then went to dorchester dragway and spent another 3 hours data logging and turned up the boost. PM me if you dont want to put the name out on tech so I can warn others in the area that I know. Also you might want to check out http://www.carolinahorsepower.com if you dont know about this site it is the local low country forum and there are a lot of fast local guys on this board that can point you in the right direction.

I'm no tuner but have done a lot of reading and some tuning. Quickly I looked at your VE table which covers the main fueling. The first tune looks whack, and the second one looks even worse. They both look like hack jobs and look nothing like my base tune which came from a reputable local tuner and look nothing like what I've read on HPTuners forum. I'm using my tuner's base to tune my own car and it looks like I have a lot better tune to start with then you do. Sorry for the bad news.

Thanks guys. Unfortunately I don't have the $$ to pay anyone else to fix this at the moment. I just took delivery of a baby girl and she is taking up all my $$. When the literature I ordered arrives in the next few day I will start reading and try to get this figured out myself.

Should I try to fix what I have or should I start with a stock Z28 M6 tune file?

I'd pitch it over at the hptuners forum and see if one of the resident experts over there could point you in the right direction for making some changes to get you more on track.

Work off a stock tune or a known good starter tune. Your engine isn't too crazy and you'll tune it yourself in no time and enjoy the process. You'll end up chasing your tail trying to fix a hacked up tune.
