Default po171 & po174 codes

ok for the past week or so i've been getting a check engine code, yesterday the car started running rough so i plugged in my scanner and came up with the 2 codes mentioned above, it's the bank 1 sensor 1 and bank 1 sensor 2, the cars been tuned for going on 2 years and the rear o2's are deleted, i just changed the 2 upstream sensors last year cuz i got a check engine light, do you think i need to change them again or could it be something else?

I'm no tuning expert, but is your MAF descreened? I ask because my B4C was descreened, and while it normally did fine, it threw these two codes when I did a lot of city/low speed driving. I could actually clear the codes, do 1000 miles of highway driving and not see them come back until I did slow city driving.

I figured out it was because my MAF was descreened. I put a saxonpc screen in, haven't seen the codes since. Don't go directly to your O2s on this, it may be as easy as cleaning your MAF.

yes as a matter in fact it is descreened, i'll have to try that, or just get a replacement one, its funny though cuz i went out and started it today and everything was fine, no check engine light or anything

Just like mine used to do...

Do yourself a favor and get the saxonpc screen. It's got more open space than stock, but straightens the flow for better readings than a non-screened MAF.

not sure what that is, is it a type of maf or just a screen you can buy and put in?

Those codes are lean exhaust both banks. The chances of both O2's being bad at the same time are slim. Try cleaning your MAF and make sure the clamps are tight and the rubber boot isn't torn.

You have a vacuum leak. Check the pcv or intake gaskets.
