I took the t56 out and put th400 in. I now have code p0500 and p0803. I assume from the wire harness just hangin there not hooked to anything. Any way to get rid of these?

made a pass and car seems like it may be pulling timing and the rev limiter went back to the factory 6,000rpm now. looks like i'm gonna have to bring it to a tuner.

I found a buddy with EFI live software but i'm not sure what things to turn off in the computer. I know i'm going to have to set the value for the vehicle speed sensor pulses to 0. not sure what to change to get the p0803 code to shut off.

Check "Not reported", and "No MIL" in the engine diagnostics section...

If you don't have a speed sensor in the TH400 and/or a neutral safety switch hooked up, you are going to have all kinds of timing/rev limiter/idle issues that your tuner will have to work on... it will be running off of the park/neutral tables... PCM won't know the car is in gear or moving.
