Headers equal tune?

So im new to the ls1 mods im use to working on carb cars where you adjust as needed.

I have a 98 ls1 and just want to free up some extra hp so i plan on putting a set of pacesetter lts on the car with a ypipe and lid with that being said will i need a tune?

The headers wont have the provisions for the egr or air and without the provisions im assuming that the o2s will be useless also.

Will a mail order tune do the trick? will it be able to delete the egr,air,o2s and get the car idling and running right again.

If this has already been posted sorry but i searched the sticky and couldnt find anything.

A tune is in order with those changes.
The O2's won't become "useless".

Mail order tune should be ok? I will still be using my rear o2s but the tune can delete the fronts correct.

No, you want to keep your front o2's and delete the rear.

U thought the LTs and ypipe do away with the front o2s or do the pacesetters have provisions in the header for the o2s

Buy Bosch 13111 o2 sensors prefribly the denso version for your front o2s disconnect the rears.You don't have to get a tune right away. You'll just have a CEL. Mail order from frost would be a good choice.
