Autometer Speedo VSS hookup?

Autometer Speedo VSS hookup? I am trying to hook up an Autometer electric speedometer to my ls376/480 crate motor. The engine controller has a vss signal wire that I currently have hooked up to the gauge. The gauge powers up ok but will not read any speed. I used to have the speedo hooked up with a hall effect sender and now I am using the factory installed 2 wire sender in my new TKO 600. Do I need to recalibrate the speedo or does it need a resistor or something to read the signal from the computer? I'd really appreciate any help! Thanks!

I had an ongoing problem with trying to get a good noise free signal for my Auto Meter electric speedo (same engine as yours BTW, but 4L80E trans). Customer service and tech support from Auto Meter could not have been better. I would suggest you contact them via their website...they are very helpful.
