Default column lock fuel disable-abs dtc

I'm trying to help out someone here...he's got an issue that began after battery was disconnected. It will start and run fine, but if you shut the engine off and try to restart it, it will only sputter, then stall. It's loosing injector pulse (only). No dtc's stored. Only suspect data seen with tech 2 is "Column Lock Fuel Disable - ABS DTC...Yes". GM service info states that it will say "Yes" if an ABS and BCM DTC both set and fuel will be disabled after 5 seconds of running and won't start again without key cycled off.
This is a unique setup because it's not really the 02 Corvette that the PCM is out of...it's a 63 Nova with an LS3 and LS1/LS2 conversion adapter (for different crankshaft reluctor). The car (PCM) was dyno tuned a few weeks ago and has run fine until battery was disconnected for starter replacement, then this happened. The VTD and column lock had to have both been disabled (in PCM) for the PCM to allow fuel before, why would it have changed when battery was disconnected? Has anyone run into this type of problem? This is the only abnormal reading I was picking up...maybe we're just overlooking something else?
