Default F.a.s.t. Engine Management Help

hey every one i was told to get a fast stand alone engine management system but im not sure exactly what it does if you guys can give me some info about it that would be great. the reason i was told to get it is because i just purchased a 427 ci stroker motor in a C5R block.

Depends on what you plans are ultimately. You can run a 427 motor just fine with a stock computer. The block has nothing to do with it.

You don't need fast, you just need to find a competant tuner.

FWIW, we were running 8.90's with a C5R block and the STOCK computer.

Running 9's here with the stock PCM... You don't need a FAST.

Yah you don't NEED an aftermarket engine managment system to run a big inch motor but in the long run a system might uncover a little more power. But a standalone can run $2500-3000 so it's not cheap. I have a FAST bank/bank setup and it's necessary for a high hp blower setup.
