I have a 97 z-28 and i keep getting the P0100 code, MAF or VAF circuit malfunction. This is a brand new build with a brand new mass air meter. I replaced the metal clip in the plug that goes to the mass air thinking the problem could be in the wiring there still same thing. Then i spliced into the wire coming out of the pcm and ran it to the plug still nothing. I have 5 volts with the key on at the plug and the ground it also good just not getting a signal to the pcm? Could it be the pcm bad? Before i pulled the old motor i got the same code with it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Possible defective new AFM (seen it before)...also possible that the PCM is the problem. Lastly, check ALL grounds relating to the PCM.
