PCM Communication Failure/ VATS problem
Im building a 1950 Buick, but I Install a 1998 camaro LS1 Engine, Transmision, PCM, Harnes, colum steering, etc. on it.
My problem begin when the guy who make the swap lost the original key, and I have no copys, so we make a new copy without the chip. Then I try to turn OFF the VATS system with the HP Tunners but this is what happens:
The first time I Insall the HP Tunners on the PCM I have no Communications problem between HP Tunner and PCM, I could read all the PCM information the first time, So I proceed to turn OFF the VATS system and when I wanted to burn back the info to the PCM Communication Failure message come on, the HP Tuner does not detect my pcm, it start to say chek if all the cables are connected, etc.
I chek the wires: all are connected (just mock up), I put the car on run position, and I tryed so many times and still having the same problem. Any I deas on what is causing that problem? the PCM may have been damaged or block?
Thanks for any advices, Ideas, Help. and sorry for my English jejeje
