Default Do you think my tune is off?

Ive had my car dyno tuned a few months ago and had some minor issues.Ive got everything buttoned up from what I can think of but Im not sure if my problems or tune related or mechanical. The setup is in my sig using an ls1 pcm and 85mm maf.

The problems Im chasing down now is Im getting 1054 code, throttle response is a bit sluggish from idle with quick revs, car bogs off the lights and has slight surge around 1500rpm in first or second gear.Which all leads to poor gas mileage also.

Now things I have done one step a a time to see if it gets better is replace o2 sensors with bosch 13111,check all wiring for the o2 and it all ok.I have a autometer gauge on the driver side o2 and it seems to be switching pretty rapidly.I have fresh plugs/wires and car feels good in the mid and upper rpms.Highway mileage is great but in the city is poor and at the track the car bogs even harder trying to launch around 1700rpm from a dig.

Any suggestions,I have a spare denso o2 new in box I might try on the driver side just to see if the code goes away and any improvement in driveability. This cam shouldnt be hard to tune but seem like it was a hassle on the dyno with the lq4 using this pcm.

No way for us to know without you posting the tune and logs... Did you completely tune the VE and MAF tables using a wideband? What are LTFTs looking like?

The tuner did use a wideband. My dyno pulls dont show what the a/f was but I remember it being very well. The car does run strong anywhere above 2000rpm..I got no complaints from there on.

But driving around the city and cruising along is where its hurting me.I going to try the other o2 sensor and see what happens ..hopefully no more codes. After that..save up for another full dyno tune for driveability not just wot.

Did you pay for a full tune the first time? If so, I would take it back and tell them to finish the job... throwing a car on a dyno and tuning a couple wide open pulls is not tuning - sad thing is, so many people pay good money and that is all they get...

I paid for full tune.I went from a stock ls1 with the 85mm maf to the lq4 with 228r and ls6 intake.Ive been back 3 times and now I feel like the moment I walk into the shop Im not wanted because Im not 100% happy with the tune.

When it was first tuned I was advised to change my plugs/wires and o2's.Ive done that and havent noticed much improvement. My car did 4 pulls during tuning..wasnt long and I got it done at a discount from a friend who used to work at that shop :S

Hate to say it, but sometimes you get what you pay for... Sounds like they aren't going to do anything for you - I would do some research and find someone reputable that can get your driveability right - idle and driveability are the harder aspects of tuning and so many out there don't do it right... Good luck!

Sadly Im thinking your right I wont get the help I need.Whats worse is that particular shop is said to be one of the most reputable in my area.

If it comes down to it then I will venture to try having my pcm sent out for a mail tune from someone and hope I yield better results.

Have you considered getting some tuning software and a wideband and doing it yourself? Sometimes that is the only way to do things right...

At this point I might have to.I changed my o2 driver side to a fresh denso and im still getting the code 1154.The bosch I took out from there looked slightly carboned for only being in there for 2 months..compared to the passenger side looked new.

Im not fully sure if the tuner changed the cylinder volume to even that of a 6.0 vs the ls1 I had in previously.I tried to contact the tuner and to no avail.I think the driver side bank is running lean.
