Default My brand new Innovate Wide band Inop.

Anyone else have this problem with their products. I bought a new LC1 with the DB gauge set up and it worked for exactly 5 minutes then quit. It flashes 7.4 on the gauge and the LED is now inop. I tried to bench test everything and it all checks good but will not power up. I called the tech line and they said it was my wiring that ruined the wide band. WTF. I talked to another guy that works at the same place as me and he has sent his back 3 times and it has never worked. What is going on???

B4 U buy into the tech's comments, recheck the wiring. BE SURE it's wired EXACTLY as the instructions say. Once that's done, call back and ask to speak to someone else....BTDT.

Sounds like U R not the only person with issues...

There stuff is junk I think. Are they sending you a new one yet? Its not like you work on electronics daily or anything. Yeah they told Bill his 3 went bad from faulty wiring also. He says good luck.

They seem to be having a lot of junk go out the door lately! Heard of several bad ones lately on different forums... I've had their widebands for years and had good results - I've always told people their products were good - guess I'm gonna have to stop supporting them!

So far it looks like mine was a wire issue. Not sure why it started out of the blue, but honestly the car has some funky wiring under the dash so it probably wasn't wise to ground there.

Make sure you split the grounds the way the instructions say too. Try to make them as independent of each other as possible. I did one to the chassis and one to the engine block.

I've got LC1's in both of my swapped cars....so far no problems (15k on one of them). That being said, my latest purchase was a NGK AFX....too many threads popping up lately with the LC1's having issues. Hope the OP get's it sorted out.

Well I got it back from innovate and they replaced the whole LC1 cable. I installed it and now it jumps from lean to rich when I am data logging. The gauge shows the same thing going down the road at a steady cruise. I have an AEM in the car also to compare and it stays steady. I am about ready to give up on innovate all together.
