Default 2005 Chevy Z71 5.3 Something Not right

Guys i have a 2005 Chevy truck with a 5.3 i am looking at for a friend he was on his way to work the other day and it just started losing power and missing we hooked it to my computer and it shows a Random miss fire but just on the passanger side of the motor so we put new plugs and wires on it and that did not fix it.

So i hooked it to my Hp Tuners and this is what i found no reading from the front O2 are the Inj at all take a look at the Data Log i made with my Hp Tuner and let me know what you guys thinl it could be.

Any help would be GREAT this guy has 4 kids and cant spend a lot of money on just changing out parts to try and fix it i think the ECM is bad but a new on is $300 and we need to know for sure so not to waste $300 and not fix it.

Loose/dirty connection, or maybe fuel pump....check pressure.

You can get a stock computer for half of that on ebay from SpareECM...

Go to the HP Tuners\Settings directory on your lap top. Delete the VCM Scanner.cfg file. Reconnect the scanner and it will re-poll the vehicle for supported PIDs and see if the umsupported paramaters come back.

Because the scanner needs to rescan the vehicle for supported PIDs. Something got screwed up in the VCM Scanner.cfg file. Search for it on your laptop and delete it. HP Tuners will recreate the file the next time you connect to the vehicle.

Hey man
Unlikely it's the PCM
By unlikely I mean it's possible But it not gonna be it
I can't see your scan tool data.
What does it have for codes?
Is it missing on all bank 2 cylinders or just 1 cylinder on bank 2.
Does it have dual cats or just one.
I need more info from you but
Could have a bad bank 2 cat if it has dual cats and missing on 2-4-6-8
Broken valve spring if only missing on 1 cylinder
Possible to have faulty 02 but usually does not cause a mis.
If it was a 02 you usually can unplug the suspect sensor and it will put it to a base value and usually run better.
I can help you fix this with a little more info

It is Missing on 2-4-6-8 just as you said all down bank 2. It was running good and he was driving to work and it just started losing power and he had to pull over he killed it and called me and when i came to look at the truck on the side of the road it was missing on 2-4-6-8 that what my Scan tool showed.

We pulled the Wires off and checked the spark and it firing on 2-4-6-8 i think it just not firing the injectors on 2-4-6-8 you can unplug the injectors all on bank 2 and it keeps running just the same. The motor is only running on 1-3-5-7 if you unplug any of the 1-3-5-7 injectors it will give a code and die.

Does it have dual cats Yes it has Dual Cats it a Stock 2005 Chevy truck with a 5.3 all Stock.

Have you checked the fuses? I think there are two fuses for injectors. 1 for each bank of the engine. Might want to take a look.

We checked all the Fuses under the hood with a test light and all tested to be good. Did not know there was fuses for each Bank of the Engine

You probably can,t get ahold of a back psi gauge could you?
You could see if the cat was bad on the pass side with that.....

Or you. Could pull the o2 in front of the pass cat out and see how it runs then...

How did the plugs pollo on that side ??
