Default Speed density question...

Is changing to speed density on a standard 1 bar gm OS as simple as erroring out the maf and setting the mil status to ignore?

is there something else needing to be done?

or is a custom OS needed on EFI live?

Running SD is as simple as setting DTC to mil on first error and uncheck the SES
do not set to no error reported..
it has to see the MAF has failed to go into SD, otherwise, if you set the DTC to no error reported, the car just wont run at all
p0101, p0102, & p0103

If you plan on leaving it that way, a custom OS will give you back your low octane table - on a 1 bar GM OS, SD forces it to run off of the low octane table - so you need to copy the high octane to the low octane in SD. Also, it will run off of the backup VE if your OS has that...

How do you know if your os has a backup VE table?

Depends on which software you are using as to where it is located, but it will be right by the main VE table.

It's called a secondary ve table....
And if you have a 2001 and up OS, it won't exist.
