Just got back after a good 50 mile cruise and didn't read one misfire! Of course, I had a friend with me, as I have had one(or 4) to many PBR's now! Just sat in the passenger seat and watched the datastream. It is still running great.

The original plugs I pulled out were stock, probably the OEM ones. I can see them going out, after all the engine has 70xxx miles on it. Switched the plugs for the AC Delco's, still had the misfire. Switched to the NGK's, and it runs great! I love the power this thing has with this tiny car!

Thanks for the update. I just switched from NGK to AC Delco as an experiment and didn't notice any difference. Based on your experience, I will go back to the NGK. However, I am running the NGK TR5 which have the .040 gap instead of the .060 gap in the TR55.

The NGK TR plugs are standard V-power plugs. NGK's next step up is the G-power plugs which don't get alot of hits on here. I use the TR6GP (NGK #5141) in my personal car and they seem to last much longer than a standard Vpower TR6. Also if you are going to get aggressive with tuning etc just step up to the colder 6 heat range. They prevent detonation and aren't cold enough to foul like alot of people believe. Just for reference little 4 cylinder Honda engines come out with a heat range 7 plug from the factory that are NGK plugs. So a 6 is not cold by any means.

Those G-power plugs around my area are like a dollar more per plug than a Vpower.

Thanks for the knowledge. I know I used BRK8's in my Boosted Honda, so the 6 can't be to cold!

Alot of people don't know this either but a gasket seat 0.750" reach plug (similar to a B,D,H,F series Honda) can be used in a LS1 as well if it has factory casting heads. I'm running the gasket version of the TR6GP right now which is a 7092 BKR6EGP.

I've got a spreadsheet made up of all the gasket seat plugs and taper seat plugs with different heat ranges and whether they are projected tip or not. LOTS of options for the LSx engines with spark plugs.

Just an update, for anyone searching for their problems.... Another 100 miles and its still running great! Checked the plugs and they seem a little to white, clean so I may send my PCM in for a Mail order tune as there is not much done to my car anyway.
