Don't know why, but it makes the PCM pull timing because of false knock. Not always tho
My understanding of Burst Knock, is that it's a reduction in timing based on an ANTICIPATION of knock, triggered by a sudden increase in air mass. If you're disabling it and seeing knock, my guess is that it's possible that you need to re-visit your base timing table?

Probably, but also there are other factors which cause/allow knock...

Agreed. But all other things being right (target afr,pe ramp in rate, etc) would lead me to think of base timing being a little too high.

The engines which had the issue, didn't knock with the same timing.
Burst enabled, no knock. Burst disabled, a few degrees of knock.
This happened with stock tables, even with a few degrees back. Don't know why, but it happened as soon as I touched the burst tables, didn't have to completely disable it, just a few degrees less and then KR

I still say his problem is the fuel getting dumped on it as soon as it goes WOT - that is a pretty big dip in lambda. Plus, still can't even see what timing it is running... really need to see the scan, not a screen shot...
