Need help with engine cutting off ASAP!!!
Need help with engine cutting off ASAP!!! Ok here is the story... I have a 6.0 conversion in my 98 Z28. I ran it at the end of last year on the stock computer and it spun to 6800 where the limiter was set. This spring I put a MSD box and a plug and play harness on it and noticed that it started cutting the motor off (at wot) at 5200 rpm's. So I went back and checked the stock limiter and set the one in the MSD to 6800 as well... same issue! Went to the tuner and figured he could fix it in the tune. He has no idea what the deal is? We even went as far as to take the plug and play harness out, bypass all the msd, and plug all the stock connections back in... still the same issue!!!! He said it sounds like a bad computer groung (it feels tight on the back of the driver's side head) or a crank sensor?!?! So my question is does anyone know what this issue is or ever had to deal/fix anything like this??? Could really use a hand on this one!!!
