Default Z06 cam in 5.3

If I replace the stock cam in my 5.3, how well will it run with no additional tuning at first. I'm swapping the motor into an s10 and would like to put the cam in while the motor is out of the truck but I don't want to run into any snafus at first startup. Any advice?

The one I did ran fine without tuning but it does need tuning to get the most out of it

Well I figured that it would still have very high vacuum but did not want it to slow my progress of the first drive. I guess it's just a matter if I want to take it back apart once its running. Not really gonna use the cam for anything other than the sound. The motor I'm building will be the runner. Thanks.

Oh. Well, so much for that. I guess it will pull alittle harder on top then. Might as well put it in while the motor is on the ground.
