Default 2.5 Bar map with a 98 PCM

Will it work.

About to purchase it deom DPE but want to make sure it can be tuned for or if the 2 bar is the limit, as I have read 3 bar is a no go.

2 Bar is the limit for the VE tables
I have not tried it, but you should be able to use the 2.5 BAR MAP by entering the proper linear and offset values into the tune. If the editor lets you enter the MAP values you will be fine.

You won't have any fueling control above 2 bar but the MAP will work good

no you cant use the 2.5 bar on a 2 bar custom os. the problem is the ecu uses the map to cheek baro on sart up and theres no way to fix it. the car will not like it one bit and theres no work around that im aware of

with the 98 2 bar OS, as long as you set the Linear and offset values correct for the calibration of the MAP to be correct....
then it is Just fine....

I have done it several times with no issues.

Its only an issue when you dont use the 2 bar OS.
