Will a bad cam sensor do this?

My brother was driving my car last week when the car started to choke and stall at 30mph. This happened four times and he said the car was harder to turn over after each time it stalled. He limped back to the garage.I took the car out and it acted fine . I pulled the codes po341,343 &1404. I am going to have the sensor replaced and the wiring checked. I wanted to make sure its nothing else.Thanks everybody.

No. A cam sensor won't cause that. You can unplug it, and other than being a little hard to start, once it's running, youll never know the cam sensor is unplugged except for the check engine light.

Thank you very much for taking the time to answer me. If it does happen again I know now it is another problem. Maybe the car was having a bad day. Lol. I will ask my brother if he put cheap gas in it. I also warned him about running the car to almost empty. If I were closer to you I would have you swap this pita sensor. Brian.

So basically the sensor will just make the car better on gas, a little more power & of course remove the light?

Other than the MIL, no none of those;

when starting, the CMP signal helps the PCM figure out sooner which phase the crank is on... but the PCM can still figure this out without the CMP signal, it just takes a few more crank revolutions.

Oh, and I think it starts reasonably quick. Idle is ok, it seems to drink alto of gas but maybe its me? So it will just remove the codes and the light. What a waste of time lol.
