DBW woes...
Here is what I have, the silver aluminum backed TAC, all plastic TAC, 2 pedals, 2 throttle bodies, and one harness (TAC-pedal).
No matter the combination I make, the throttle body doesn't function. However, when I cycle the key you can hear it kick open/closed, with the plastic TAC the T.B. blades fight to stay closed (silver backed no resistance),but when I can physicallly move the blade by hand the engine reacts appropriately. When the key is in "run" but engine off, you can hear a high pitched whistle/whine from the T.B.
Anybody have any ideas as to where to start from?
You can flash another file to the pcm without problems, just don't mix 512kb with 1024kb
Post your current tune to check
I thought 02 was the first year? As 02/03 had the all plastic TAC? I could be mistaken, it was just my understanding.
You can mix Red/Blue harness with Green/Blue PCM but a few wiring changes are needed. You need to have both diagrams to make sure all wires go where they should.
There are earlier cars with DBW but not trucks. Trucks began to come with DBW in 2003 AFAIK.
I definitely have a red/blue harness, with DBW plugs, and it's most definitely a truck engine.. ha
I'll post some photos this evening.

With the plastic TAC, and either pedal. I can hear a buzzing/high pitched whine from the T.B. also it fights to keep the butterfly closed.
With the metal backed TAC and either pedal, it doesnt buzz, nor does it fight me moving the butterfly at all.
I wired up the data port, and it never tripped any codes relating to the pedal?
Suggestions?
