After megasquirt, engine cuts off at 4700rpm
so decided to go the Megasquirt root on my 240sx Ls1 swap.
everything went fine with the wiring, car hadnt been working for some long time because there was a wiring problem and i didnt have time to work on it. anyhow, now car idles great, power is perfect, but i cant pass 4700RPM no matter how much i put the rev limiter from the tuner studio software.
Could this be a crank sensor problem ?
any thoughts about this ?

I think I can help, but i will need much more information, than just the symptoms of the problem.
It is like going to the doctor and saying your foot hurts, they can figure out that the bones are broken from tests, but it would have been quicker if someone had said it had been just been driven over...
What is it in, what else could be affecting it, who is programming it, Who setup the inputs and outputs, you know all this stuff.

sorry for the late reply. this is a thread started by the person tuning the car.
the person who wired the megasquirt is someone else who i dont have full trust in.
http://www.msextra.com/forums/viewto...?f=131&t=47951
I decided to remove the megasquirt today, and reconnect it from scratch perhaps i find something wrong in the wiring. I tried a new crank sensor, thinking it might be the problem, however the problem persists.
Car is 240 SX 1991. you will find data logs in the above thread.
any help would be appreciated.

Megasqurt wiring was removed and connected again.. Problem persists, however there is an improvement. Now rp cuts off at 5200.. How weird is that? Any ideas?
