P0327 code related problems?

P0327 code related problems? In the upper RPM range (4500 to 6000) the ignition is shutting off. It only happens at WOT and under a load. No SES light but I am gettin a P0327 Knock Sensor 1 circuit low. When the motor dies I can turn the ignition off and back on and the motor fires right back up, Usually with a backfire through the exhaust. I am almost positive this is not a fuel problem but an ignition problem.
Would a bad knock sensor cause this? When it first occured the other day it was cool out and it only did it in 4th gear. Today it is hotter and it will do it in 2nd gear. Could I be getting some detonation and the pcm is freakin out cause it is getting some wierd input from the knock sensor? I am at a loss. I have no clue. LOL if this thing had a holley and a distributer I could easily figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
