Default Moving HP tuners to another computer

I have HP Tuners, but I use a MAC and didn't realize before I bought the software that it isn't MAC compatible (yes I know, I should have read the site more closely for software support). I loaded the software onto a friends computer and am wanting to get a computer with windows to use for tuning. Is there a way to move the software form his computer to the one I buy so I can get my tuning done without having to rely on him being home? TIA

Yes.. you should be able to download the newest beta version from the HP Tuners forum. Or if you have the CD that comes with the HP Tuners package you can use that. You will have to move all your tune files and configs etc from his computer to yours but all of your unlocked vehicles and such will remain stored in the HP Tuners interface.

Awesome thanks. My only concern is I have had friends that moved there software from one computer to another and they were locked out from doing anything but data logging. Granted this was software for an Evo so I'm not sure the policy on it. You'll have to excuse me since i am new with this stuff, but as long as I load the CD onto the other computer everything will be ready to go as far as the interfaces go?

I switched without issue. I'm even using HPTuners on Windows 8.

Switching computers wont be an issue. You could install it on many computers, but you still only have one programming pod. If you changed the year of your car you would have to buy a different licence from HP Tuners unless you have unlimited edition (which I believe is around $3K)

just send Hptuners support an email and get them to put a down load link for the latest beta version on your customer center page. If the lap top you get has windows 8 you will need the latest beta version they have.

HPTuners is locked to the serial of the box and the VIN of the OS you are using. It doesn' care what computer you are on. I know a couple folks that run vmware on their Macs to use HPTuners.

Same here. It's a piece of cake.
