PCM question

Im planning on doing a t56 swap into my 01. Can I use an PCM from a 00 and just plug and play or will i need to get my PCM flashed?

You can use it with '00 operating system. There are differences but it will work.
The 01-02 OS is better than 99-00. The best way is to flash the PCM to a 01 manual OS.

It'll work but I think the 2000 had smaller injectors than the 2001-02, so that would need to be changed. The better option would probably be to have your PCM reflashed with the 2002 M6 OS/tune.

It would be wise to just flash either computer to the right set of mods and to your exact vin number so your radio works and other things in the car work correctly.

Either computer will work though after flashed just fine to your car.

Can a different OS be flashed onto a PCM with EFIlive?I tried to do a manual trans segment swap,but can't find one with the same OS to compare and swap,(but this is for a truck PCM not a Camaro).

12212156 OS is used in F-bodys and trucks in 2002

Yes you can do that, however, just email me your exact os, and I can send you a stock file to use for your segment swap if you need it.

I always prefer to use the stock bin /vin as my base, then just add in the other stuff on top of it, that way options and other stuff in the background stays the same..
