Default calling Don (slowhawk) or any other tuning specialist

maybe you can PM me about this but i know you tuned my camaro with EFI Live and i now have EFI Live and am trying to do the same to my truck. its a 6.7 Cummins so i know its a little different but im assuming its all relatively the same. when i do a system readiness check i keep getting "not ready" for my catalyst monitor and 02 sensor monitor. i have all my emissions stuff disabled BUT from what ive searched and read im supposed to have them enabled but but dont report errors??? also do i need to have these sensors actually plugged in and installed? the weird thing is when i went to get inspected my EGR came up as not ready but now it is ready even though i have it all disabled?

no one on here has any tuning experience??? i find that hard to believe...ya it may not be LS specific but when it comes to emissions systems im sure its all the same. and if youre afraid to post anything about tuning out emissions then please PM me. i need to know what should be "enabled" or "disabled" and still have the sensor monitors come up as "ready"

I am not familiar with EFI but should be able to set them to not report but leave the SES light checked and they should show ready.

the more i look into it when i open my tune file and click on the DTC folder the only category that pops up is "parameters". from there all it gives me the option of doing is enabling and disabling DTCs? so if i disable codes does that mean they are no longer reporting? but then what do i have to do to get them to still show up as "ready" in my system readiness check?

oh and correction ya its under diagnostics then i have a DTC subfolder and i go into that and i can only enable and disable things...???

Should be under eng diag>DTC test enablers and set desired codes to not reported

This is just from me looking at EFI not 100% but it seems like the same as HPT

Why would you call me on a board when you can easily find my shop number? LOL

DO NOT SET TO NOT REPORTED,,, EVER

Mass knows this trick and will instantly send you to a state inspection center. Meaning the vehicle has to go back to stock.

I've never spent any time on deisels though.

I would have called but since its for help on a vehicle you don't know about I figured on here would be better so I didn't bother you at the shop haha. But if you can't set it to not reported then what do you do? My Camaro still passes inspection as far as I know...(hasn't been registered for the last 2 years) . I'm just wondering how and if there is a way around it with tuning? The truck was a Texas truck with emissions stuff removed so going back to stock would be a tedious and very costly job! You can pm me if there's any info you dont want on the public forums? As for inspection I have a friend that will overlook things but I need to get the obd2 scan to pass.

Unless the cummins efi live software is completely different? Maybe I should buy a GM license and compare the two? But then again isn't the software the same no matter what you have seeing as we all get the same software updates from efilive??

Or I'm just doing something wrong and not looking in the right spot?

there IS a way.... otherwise modded cars would be obsolete in emissions controlled states... no one wants to build up a complete engine and then have to basically do a motor and pcm swap every year to get back to stock...

You should be able to max out the maximum allowed values to make whatever the truck is putting out exhaust wise to be within the acceptable values.
