Some of us that know wiring are still around. I'd say start checking grounds then look over power circuits.

I don’t want to high jack this thread but I’m the same boat

I have a 98 transam with a 2001+ GM pcm (also I swapped in my fuel tank / assembly from a 99 (plastic tank with Evap deleted) it seems no tuner I have spoken to knows what they are talking about nor can they seem to get the fuel gauge to work.

if you swapped to a 99+ tank you dont do anything in the tune for the fuel gauge to work if i remember correctly...you may have to change to the 99+ cluster...its been 20 years since i did one like that.
