RONSBLACK1998TA

This code came up today on my car. The car still starts and runs fine, but def is a little had to start. It cranks for a bit then fires up, and stalls out. If I give it a little gas while cranking, I can start it, but I have to keep my foot on the pedal and feather it to keep it running. After a minute of doing this the car will stay running and performs flawless. No power loss, idles at red light etc. My questions is IF the sensor is bad, will the car still run or do you guys think I have a wiring issue? I havnt removed the intake in 7 years or so, and I can reach behind the manifold and the wires arent pinched. My issue is I really dont wanna go through the hassle of removing the intake to replace the sensor, but if I do, then I do. Thanks in advance for your help.
