IAT in maf? tsp 100mm?

IAT in maf? tsp 100mm?
I have the tsp 100 mm maf and I realized it has a built in IAT. My current iat sensor is located in the lid but i think i have some heatsoak issues. Should I try using the iat in the maf? Is it worth messing with or should I just leave it alone?

MAF is better than some in-lid schemes, depends on
how much air the IAT sees going by or if it's in some
backwater corner that is more conduction-heated
than air-cooled.
Out of the engine bay entirely, is better. Extending
the wires of the in-lid-IAT sub-harness is easy.

I found it convenient to wire it in at the PCM connector
and tuck it up under the cowl plastic grating. The spot
gets warm sitting in direct sun but not bad.
Out in a wheel well, or in one of the "nostrils" would
not be bad. You just want outside air that has little
or no heating from the engine bay.
