we were trying to flash another cars program into my car and i guess the VATS system locked the computer up, the cable didnt come undone or anything to fry the PCM. it just wouldnt let us flash any programs into my car not even my own stock program or my modified program. car wouldnt start either.

how can i get this fixed?

Sounds like for some reason edit lost connection during the flash

I'm guessing It hung after 50%?

I had a similar incident happen to me 2 years ago... I was flashing my PCM and for some reason the software lost connection to the PCM (it was either low battery in the car or a problem w/my USB to Serial adapter) ... car wouldn't start after

I ended up having to have my PCM reflashed at a dealership w/a Tech II

The PCM is like a computer... (well it IS a computer) ... when you turn the key on it boots up (which is why it says to leave the key on for 10 seconds) ... once booted Edit goes out and clears the PCM and then writes the new Flash onto to PCM... if you loose connection during the write, the PCMs Operating System is complete so the PCM doesn't know how to boot up...

HP Tuners has built in recovery for this... but with LS1 Edit there is no such feature

So best bet is to have a dealership reflash the PCM
