all I have are .hpt files. I'm looking to buy a used copy of flashscan v1 if anyone has one!

I may have .bin file floating around if you can use it.

I do have a very tasty efi live custom os based on the 7603, and it's loaded. DBC, flex fuel, dual VE tables for extra resolution in boost. But it's in .hpt and I don't have a good way to look at it with tunerpro as the xdf itself is much different.

Here is a couple cax files for EFI live 12587603 and 12587604 drop these in the C:\Program Files (x86)\EFILive\V7.5\Calibrations .These have B9021 min transient pulse and the rest the tables were added under the Flex Fuel Tree under B3101-B3110. I named B7000 the Spark blend multiplier to enable B5947. Attached is a 2004 GTO file with the Flex Fuel values inputted that were used from a L59 calibration that have worked for me in the past.
Attached Files
File Type: ctz
2004GTO5.7FF_Enabled.ctz (492.8 KB, 96 views)
File Type: zip
12587603.zip (4.2 KB, 48 views)

Default Confusion after 14 pages....

Okay, so I just read through all 14 pages. I am not a tuner, and have a tuner that is capable of tuning my car on a e85 set up. BUT, I need to know MY end of the deal on how to prepare it to be tuned.

So, if I'm reading correctly, to prep my car for tuning...This is all I need to do? Can someone clarify?
-I have a 2000 transam, so my ecu is fine

-I need a flex fuel sensor, such as part number 13577429. I have a AEM Flex fuel sensor already plumbed into my fuel line already, will this sensor work? Or do I need one like the part number I listed? I don't have it wired up or anything yet.

-I need to wire in my sensor to connect to a ground, 56 pin on the blue connector, and a 12v power pin such as pin 19?

- I have an ls9 map sensor (I'm assuming this is what the 3 bar talk is about), but I am not wanting to push over 750rwhp. Will this work? I read something about 3 bar not supporting more than x amount of boost. My set up would be walbro 450 and 1000cc injectors.

For 3 Bar you need a P59 and an OS who can run everything like ABS, ASR, DBC etc.
AEM Flex Fuel Sensor is the 13577429
Wiring is good, for the power you need an Ignition 12v like the pin 19, blue connector.

Are you saying the AEM sensor I have is just that sensor part number rebadged? Or? The link is the sensor I have.

Exactly, take off the sticker, you'll see. It's Continental sensor

Interesting! I'm going to have to do that when I get back to my car. I was curious yesterday and after looking online, the sensors look identical and I notice they have the same wiring "pattern" I also noticed that AEM was very specific with listing part numbers as a "kit" and didn't have information about the actual sensor or part number that I could find, I called AEM and spoke to one of their techs, and he seemed confused and said "We're AEM, it's an AEM sensor, we're not GM" but couldn't reference me to more information about the sensor lol

I remember having some error about the oil pressure circuit or something like that. Compare all the system options and obd2 codes manually in the tune to your p01 tune

Should I just use the compare function to copy over DTC settings or could some DTCs be missing from the new tune?

I compare auto and then manually (like look at both tunes side by side simultaneously) for these two categories. My System options had a 1 in the oil pressure spot instead of a zero. Look up hptuners system options. 0 means off and 1 means on usually. Etc is electric throttle control not sure about the others off the top of my head.

I had to change a lot of settings but still getting the ses light with no codes, can anyone take a look at these files and tell me if they see something I don't?

Do you have "Service Engine Soon" light or the "Service Vehicle" because both aren't the same.

It's an incompatibility between modules with the Class 2 exactly. Like PCM/BCM/EBCM/Cruise control module etc.
I have the same issue and my ASR doesn't working, So I have ASR off light and Service Vehicle on.

Service Vehicle provide BCM codes related with modules communications. You need a special OBD 2 scanner to read that. You can erase it, but the light stay on and on the rescan the code is still there.
Nothing to do about it, Just masking tape under the cluster and send it

Try with a GTO 2004 OS, the GTO have TCS function and flexfuel capable, so maybe it will be better.

I know this is an old thread, however I now patch flex fuel into P59s using the stock operating system on the stuff I am working with.

I have a 4x distributor equipped L31 based 383 running a 2005 Mexican L31 GMT800 based engine tune, 4L80E and system files from a 2005 van to give me analog ac inputs and it has both flex fuel and lean cruise enabled. ALL works as it should.
