Default What is "Performance Mode"

I have a conversion harness with a wire marked "Performance Mode". What is that? Did some Googling and there is some talk on the HP Tuners forums with using a switch to move from standard street tune to performance mode but I'm not sure it's the same performance mode I'm looking at.

Transmission control stuff has "normal", "performance",
"cruise" and "hot" modes with their own tables for shift
pressures and times. Some vehicles have access to the
"performance" mode through the "tow/haul" switch, but
the 4th gen F-bodies didn't. Probably this is your wire,
if the harness is supposed to be truck-like (not a bad
bet since trucks are good common organ donors).

Now, me, I just set up "normal" for how I like it (pretty
much like you'd set up "performance" I expect) and I
have no use for anything softer or more economical.

Thanks, jimmy. Makes total sense since I am using a truck harness and ECM.
