how to tell what year an ecu is ?

how to tell what year an ecu is ? im currently swapping a ls1/t56 to g35 (build thread comign soon) and we dont know what year the ecu if its 98 or 99
all i see is :
2527 c50841 RED
2337 a50841 BLUE
service number is scrated and i also see
SEQ number 12428
BRDCST CODE= CLJM
dont know what any of this means just wish i could find out what year it is

98 and 99's look differant
The 98 has large radiused corners on the housing.
The 99 has a flat plate that bolts on the bottom with 4 screws and has a double set of heatsink fins on each side of the top
