Default Ignition breakup...Help please

Hello everyone,

This is my first LS project and I need some ideas. It is a 00-02 LS1 from a camaro being controlled by a 04 GTO computer and harness. It runs great except for what can be described as an ignition breakup under higher engine load. It does not set any codes for this problem. Alvin @ PCM in Mooresville NC spent half a day chasing it doing all the same things I had already done: plugs, wires, coil packs, etc. He gave up and said he believes it to be a bad ground on a sensor. This is a bare bones swap into a 280Z so only the necessary sensors are being used. I have ground straps everywhere. Thanks in advance, Jay.

No sir. PCM did the tune and did a great job with it.
I do have a code reader but I don't believe it will log any data??

Cyl misfires should set a code.
Batt volts are?
Fuel psi is?
Fuel pump volts?
Have you checked every connector for bent pins, corrosion, etc?

I'm having a similar problem. My engine brakes up around 2000-2500 under load. So let me know what you find. Now have you tried unplugging your maf and driveing the car? Have you checked your fuel pressure? I would start there.

Thanks for the suggestions ya'll.

Fuel pressure has checked out @58 psi steady with two different gauges. Have not checked its voltage. Battery is 14v+. I will go over all connections again. Drove it with two different MAFs and unplugged-no difference. Any other ideas?
