High/Low Octane tables...
Just curious really....
Just want to know how our ls1's determine which table to use...
is it an octane sensor?? is it just related to knock....
and could you tune for race gas on high octane table(for the track) and tune for street on low octane table for pump gas(91-93 octane)???
what is the true point of a low octane table if our cars pull timing on a knock anyways???
really just curious...not really going to make these changes on my car...I dont have enough tuning knowledge(or money) to risk my engine...
but I like to learn as much as I can...

Point of the low table is to make the spark pull
predictive, instead of reactive - because KR only
happens after the first detonation and if it's a
good one, it can hurt ya. So if you have a history
of KR, it backs off until it doesn't have to be
saving your *** full time.
