I've got a '99 Z28 M6 and it threw a couple of codes on my evening commute. The two codes are P0410 (Secondary Air Injector System Malfunction) and P0412 (Secondary Air Injector System Valve A Malfunction).

These look to be related, and I think that AIR injector pump is located in the driver's side front corner, accessible from underneath?

How long do I have to fix this problem? My normal commute is 60 miles each direction, traveling at roughly 60 mph on the highway. The local Autozone doesn't seem to carry the part and it will take a few days for delivery if I order it online.

From what I read, it can cause the engine to run rich and cause increased exhaust emissions. Otherwise, what else will happen?
